Hamilton, New Jersey May 22, 2007 Consolidated Services Group (CSG), a property and casualty medical claims management firm that provides a network of managed care, PPO, utilization review and cost containment services and expertise, announced today that President and CEO, Michael Morrone, has joined the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations (AAPPO) Board of Directors.

Currently, more than 158 million individuals, or 64% of Americans with healthcare coverage receive their healthcare services through a PPO delivery system. Since its inception, AAPPO has been the only association advocating solely on behalf of PPO’s and continues to lead the way in the promotion, support and advocacy of the benefits greater access, choice and flexibility that PPO’s bring to American health care.

In 2005, CSG acquired CHN Solutions, an established URAC-Accredited PPO and Managed Care company which represents a number of major insurers, third-party administrators and many municipalities and school boards throughout the Northeast. Morrone demonstrated his commitment to the PPO industry by joining the AAPPO Board of Directors in order to lend his perspective and business experience in dealing with the critical issues affecting PPO’s. In his position, Morrone will work with fellow board members to further the association’s value proposition and will help serve as a voice of the PPO industry.

“By being more active in the PPO community, I hope to make a strong contribution to the advocacy work that the association does to help promote the industry as a whole,” said Morrone. “We at CHN know the value that PPO’s provide to patients everywhere and we want to help AAPPO continue to lead the way in creating more awareness.”

Since 1983, AAPPO has been the leading national association of Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO’s) and affiliate organizations. The association educates the public policy/regulatory arena about the PPO delivery model, facilitates PPO best practices, promotes PPO networks as the preferred healthcare solution and supports professional growth through comprehensive PPO training programs.

“The AAPPO welcomes Mike Morrone to the Board of Directors,” said AAPPO President, Karen Greenrose. “We are all looking forward to collaborating in order to advance and promote the PPO industry for AAPPO members and their stakeholders, providers and consumers.”

CHN PPO, a division of CSG, has been ranked the number one PPO in New Jersey nine years in a row by NJBiz magazine and has over 100,000 provider locations in the tri-state area.
